Main focus

Set one stock transaction type as your favorite so Add Transaction opens with IN, OUT, or MOVE already selected.

What the favorite saves

Favorite entry saves only the transaction type: IN, OUT, or MOVE. It does not save the product, quantity, location, tags, notes, images, or custom fields.

Web availability

Verified on May 5, 2026: the current Web Products and Transactions pages do not expose a favorite transaction-type shortcut. Use Android for this workflow.

When favorites help

  • Use IN as the favorite when you are receiving stock for many products.
  • Use OUT as the favorite when you are consuming, selling, or removing stock repeatedly.
  • Use MOVE as the favorite when most entries transfer stock between locations.
  • The favorite reduces taps by preselecting the transaction type. You still review the product, quantity, location, and any extra fields before saving.

Create a favorite

  1. Open the inventory and go to the Product list.
  2. Open a product and switch to Add Transaction, or open the product row menu and choose Add transaction.
  3. Long-press IN, OUT, or MOVE.
  4. When the star appears on that transaction type, the favorite is saved.

Reuse or edit the favorite

  1. Open Add Transaction for any product in the same app.
  2. The favorite transaction type is selected automatically.
  3. Enter the quantity, location, tags, and any other fields needed for this entry, then tap SAVE.
  4. To edit the favorite, long-press a different transaction type. The star moves to the new type and future Add Transaction screens use it.

Remove the favorite

  1. Open Add Transaction.
  2. Long-press the transaction type that already has the star.
  3. The star disappears. The current entry can still be saved, but future Add Transaction screens will not use that saved favorite.

Key screens

Start on the Add Transaction screen and choose the type you repeat most often.
After a long press, the star marks the saved favorite transaction type.
When Add Transaction opens again, the favorite type is already selected.

Expected result

Use the favorite as a speed shortcut, not as a substitute for checking the entry. Always confirm the quantity and location before saving repeated stock changes.
