Main focus
Show the current value of the stock in the product list. Inventory value uses each product's Total stock quantity and the numeric product Price fields you have added to the inventory.
Availability check
Android production app Montsant 7.5.d8 shows Show the inventory value under Menu > Settings > Product list. The Web product list also calculates price-field totals when the inventory has product Price fields. The demo Web inventory may not show a value because its demo products do not include a Price field.
How inventory value is calculated
Inventory value is a calculated list total. It is not a separate product field that you type manually.

| Filtered value | The same sum after search, category, location, or other product-list filters are applied. |
Fields used
- Total stock: the current stock quantity for each product in the visible list.
- Price field: a numeric product field of type Price, such as Cost, Purchase price, or Sale price.
- Multiple price fields: if the inventory has more than one Price field, the app can show a separate total for each price type.
- Missing price values: a product without a usable number in a Price field does not add value to that price total.

These examples use plain numbers. Replace them with your own currency values and product quantities.

Turn it on
- Open the inventory and go to the product list.
- On Android, open the top-right Menu and choose Settings.
- In Product list, enable Show the inventory value.
- If the app asks for a Price field, add one and fill it on the products you want included in the total.
- Return to the product list. The inventory value appears above the list and updates when the list is filtered.
Platform notes
- Android: the setting is available in Product list settings. If no product Price field exists, the app shows Add a product Price field instead of a total.
- iOS: use the equivalent product-list setting when it is available in your iOS app version. The calculation and field requirements are the same.
- Web: totals appear on the Products page when the inventory has at least one product Price field and a Total stock column. Demo data without a Price field will not show a value total.
Why the total changes
- Stock entries are added, edited, deleted, or moved, changing Total stock.
- A product Price field is edited.
- The product list is filtered by search, category, location, or another filter.
- You compare different price fields, such as Cost and Sale price.
Use it as an operational estimate
Inventory value helps you review current stock worth inside Mobile Inventory. Confirm quantities, price fields, taxes, currency, and accounting rules before using the number in financial reports.
