Inventory permissions control who can open a shared inventory, who can edit product data, and who can manage other users inside that inventory.

What permissions are for

Protect edits

Limit product or quantity changes to the people who should manage them.

Control visibility

Keep sensitive inventories visible only to the right users or teams.

Delegate safely

Let Team Leaders supervise daily work without giving everyone full admin control.

Review the role before you share

  • Admin: manages licenses, team structure, and the highest-level account settings.
  • Team Leader: manages workflow inside assigned inventories and coordinates team activity.
  • Team Member: performs day-to-day work with the permissions granted inside the assigned inventory.

Update inventory access

  1. Open the inventory you want to control.
  2. Open the permissions or sharing screen for that inventory.
  3. Add the user or team, then choose the correct level of access.
  4. Save the change and ask the user to reopen the inventory so the new permissions are applied.

Important

Check the assigned role before troubleshooting missing actions. Many access issues are caused by the user having the correct inventory but the wrong permission level.
