Barcode scanning depends on the selected scanner source, camera permissions, and the code formats your team needs to read. Start with the checks below in order.
Check the scanner source
- Open the scanner settings in Mobile Inventory.
- Choose whether the device should use the camera scanner or an external scanner.
- Save the setting and test the same barcode again.
Confirm permissions
- Camera permission is enabled for Mobile Inventory.
- No other scanner app is blocking the camera feed.
- The device can focus clearly on the label you are testing.
