Barcode scanning depends on the selected scanner source, camera permissions, and the code formats your team needs to read. Start with the checks below in order.

Check the scanner source

  1. Open the scanner settings in Mobile Inventory.
  2. Choose whether the device should use the camera scanner or an external scanner.
  3. Save the setting and test the same barcode again.

Confirm permissions

  • Camera permission is enabled for Mobile Inventory.
  • No other scanner app is blocking the camera feed.
  • The device can focus clearly on the label you are testing.
